page is still under construction in March 1999. The purpose of this page will be to
present a discussion of some of the factors involved in performing the normal level of due
diligence in a mineral property or mining business appraisal. Due diligence concerns
itself with collecting and verifying information that may have a material and/or
significant effect on the value of a mineral property or mining business. Appraisal due
diligence is defined as that which other appraisers of that kind of property would
consider necessary. Due to the various methods by which mineral properties are held or
controlled due diligence can be a very important function for potential purchasers to
perform even if they are not having an appraisal performed.
