page is still under construction in March 1999. The purpose of this page will be to
present a discussion of the applicable mineral property appraisal and mining business
valuation guidelines and standards that may apply in the United States. Minerals appraisal
standard setting organizations include but are not limited to: the Appraisal Foundation,
American Institute of Minerals Appraisers, American Society of Appraisers, Securities and
Exchange Commission, Society of Mining Engineers, and various Federal and State land
administration agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management. Some of the extant
standards relating to mineral property appraisal and mining business valuation are noted
in the Minerals Appraisal Reading List -
Standards-Guidelines page of Mineral Business Appraisal's web site.
